Kreedo Early Childhood Solutions, an edtech startup focused on transforming early education, has secured Rs 10 crore in debt funding from Recur Club. Recur Club is a well-known debt marketplace that supports startups and small businesses in meeting their financial needs.

This funding includes a mix of short-term and long-term debt options, combining both secured and unsecured instruments. The structured approach ensures flexibility in managing the startup’s operational and working capital requirements.

Before this debt round, Kreedo successfully raised $4 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Heritas Capital, a Singapore-based venture capital firm, along with existing investor UBS Optimus Foundation and other contributors.

What Does Kreedo Do?

Kreedo was founded in 2012 by Mridula Shridhar and VK Manikandan, both graduates of IIM Calcutta. The startup’s mission is to improve the quality of education in affordable private schools and preschools, focusing on families with limited financial resources.

The company offers innovative, non-franchise solutions to enhance learning in schools with annual fees under Rs 30,000. Kreedo’s model aims to impact over 350,000 affordable private schools across India, providing children from low-income families access to better early education.

Leadership Insights

Krishnan, a leader at Kreedo, expressed excitement about the funding. “Our goal is to redefine early education by introducing innovative solutions that improve learning outcomes. This funding from Recur Club is a crucial step in scaling our efforts and addressing working capital needs. Recur Club’s efficient funding process aligns perfectly with our vision for impactful change in education,” he said.

Eklavya Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO of Recur Club, praised Kreedo’s journey. “It’s been inspiring to work with Manikandan and see Kreedo’s growth over the years. Their smart capital management has helped them scale effectively while maintaining equity,” he noted.

Impact and Future Plans

With this funding, Kreedo plans to expand its operations and further its mission of improving early education in India. By targeting affordable private schools, the startup seeks to bridge the gap in education quality for children from low-income families.

Kreedo continues to champion innovative approaches to education, ensuring that every child gets a strong foundation for future success. This funding marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey to transform early childhood learning in India.
