Defence tech startup Ammunic Systems has raised USD 1.1 million in seed funding. The round was co-led by India Accelerator and Finvolve. The fresh capital aims to strengthen research and development, increase manufacturing capacity, and build the company’s team.

The Bengaluru-based startup plans to use this investment to improve its product range, focusing on locally developed defence technologies that meet modern warfare needs. The move supports India’s mission to achieve self-reliance in strategic defence.

Ammunic Systems Funding

Founded in 2024, Ammunic Systems designs and builds advanced weapon systems. Its main work includes electronic fuzes, warheads, and munition integration technologies, all crafted to deliver greater safety, precision, and efficiency.

Founder Priyanka Singhal shared, “This investment is more than funding; it’s trust in our belief that India can lead in defending its own future. We want to prove that India can create world-class defence solutions.”

India needs deep-tech innovation in defence, and Ammunic Systems is showing the right path forward.

Builds Complete Solutions

Ammunic Systems handles the full defence product cycle, from early design and testing to large-scale production. The company wants to become a leader in defence and aerospace by keeping its focus on next-generation technologies and local manufacturing.

Industry experts say ventures like Ammunic are vital for reducing India’s heavy dependence on imported defence equipment. Ashish Bhatia, Founder of India Accelerator and Co-founder of Finvolve, noted, “India needs deep-tech innovation in defence, and Ammunic Systems is showing the right path forward.”

Defence Startups in India

Over the past decade, India has seen a steady rise in defence startups. Many are working on drones, cybersecurity, AI-powered systems, and next-generation munitions. The government’s focus on the “Make in India” initiative has boosted interest and funding for this sector.

Ammunic Systems joins this growing list of startups driving technological progress in defence. With strong backing and clear plans, it hopes to shape a future where India relies on its own innovations to secure its borders and advance its military strength.
