Bengaluru-based Ati Motors, a leader in AI and autonomous robotics, has raised $20 million in a Series B funding round. The investment was led by Walden Catalyst Ventures and NGP Capital, with participation from True Ventures, Exfinity Venture Partners, Athera Venture Partners, and Blume Ventures.

This funding brings the company’s total capital raised to over $37 million, following previous rounds in July 2023 and 2021. The funds will be used to accelerate the development and deployment of Ati Motors’ advanced robotic solutions.

Industrial Automation with AI

Ati Motors focuses on industrial automation by leveraging AI and autonomous robotics. The company uses one of the largest factory datasets to enhance its AI models and industrial autonomy platform. This ensures that its robots are efficient, reliable, and capable of handling complex tasks.

With this funding, Ati Motors plans to strengthen its presence in North America and the Asia-Pacific region while driving product innovation. The company recently expanded operations to Mexico and established a headquarters in Detroit, Michigan.

Innovative Robotic Solutions

Ati Motors’ flagship product, the Sherpa Tug, is an autonomous mobile robot designed for industries like warehousing, logistics, and manufacturing. It features advanced 3D navigation and outdoor capabilities, operating over 500,000 kilometers across 50+ factories worldwide.

In addition to the Sherpa Tug, Ati Motors offers other robotic solutions such as Bin Movers, Pallet Movers, and Lifting Platforms. These robots are designed to improve productivity and reduce downtime in sectors like automotive, aerospace, and electronics.

Strong Client Base and Global Reach

Ati Motors works with major companies like Bosch, TVS Motors, CEAT, and Hyundai. Around 30% of its customers are Fortune 500 companies, highlighting its strong reputation in the industry. The company’s robots are widely deployed across North America and other global markets, delivering significant productivity gains.

Saurabh Chandra, Founder and CEO of Ati Motors, expressed excitement about the funding. “This investment will help us advance our AI models and autonomy platform. Our focus on manufacturing as a vertical and our innovative robotic designs are driving rapid growth,” he said.

Ati Motors’ commitment to innovation is evident in its ability to create purpose-built robots that address specific industry needs. By combining AI and robotics, the company is transforming industrial automation and setting new standards for efficiency and scalability.
