Wipro Ltd., one of the top technology services and consulting firms, has announced a major restructuring of its Global Business Lines (GBLs) to focus on artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and digital transformation. The new structure, which will take effect from April 1, 2025, aims to enhance client service and business agility by offering integrated, outcome-driven solutions tailored to modern industry demands.
Wipro’s CEO and Managing Director, Srini Pallia, stated that the company is evolving its business structure to provide consulting-led, AI-powered solutions that better align with client expectations. The restructuring will allow Wipro to deliver high-impact transformation services, ensuring efficiency, agility, and innovation.
Restructuring to Focus on Business Needs
The company will maintain four key business lines, each designed to align with client buying behaviors and industry needs. These divisions will be led by experienced leaders who will oversee technology-driven solutions and business transformation strategies.
The Technology Services division, led by Nagendra Bandaru, will specialize in cloud-enabled solutions, cybersecurity, data analytics, enterprise applications, and AI-driven industry innovations. This division will focus on developing custom technology solutions that help businesses navigate digital transformation.
The Business Process Services (BPS) division, under Jasjit Singh Kang, will concentrate on digital operations and business process automation. The goal is to improve efficiency, agility, and productivity by leveraging advanced automation tools and AI.
The Consulting Services division, headed by Amit Kumar, will provide strategic business advisory and transformation services. This division will assist clients in navigating complex business challenges, offering expert guidance on digital integration, AI adoption, and process optimization.
The Engineering Services division, led by Srikumar Rao, will focus on engineering and research & development (R&D). This unit will drive technological innovation and product development to meet evolving market demands.
Capco to Remain Unchanged
Wipro’s consulting business Capco, which specializes in financial services consulting, will remain unchanged under the leadership of Anne-Marie Rowland. This decision reflects Wipro’s confidence in Capco’s existing strategy and market position.
However, Jo Debecker, who previously led Wipro FullStride Cloud, has decided to leave the company to explore new opportunities. His departure comes at a time when Wipro is shifting its strategic focus towards AI and cloud-based solutions.
The restructuring highlights Wipro’s long-term commitment to AI, cloud computing, and digital transformation. As businesses increasingly demand comprehensive technology solutions, Wipro aims to streamline its operations to deliver end-to-end services that improve business outcomes.
By refining its business structure, Wipro is positioning itself as a leading digital transformation partner, helping enterprises across industries embrace cutting-edge technology and AI-driven innovations. This strategic move ensures that Wipro remains at the forefront of industry advancements while continuing to provide high-value solutions to clients worldwide.
