Electric vehicle maker Jindal Mobilitric, based in Ahmedabad, has revealed plans to expand its dealership network significantly. The company aims to reach 100 dealerships across India by next year, up from its current count of 35.

This step is part of Jindal Mobilitric’s broader strategy to make electric mobility more accessible in India and to strengthen its presence in the fast-growing EV market.

Manufacturing and Battery Power

To support its expansion, the company has set up a large manufacturing plant in Ahmedabad with the capacity to produce 2.5 lakh electric vehicles annually. Additionally, Jindal Mobilitric has invested in an in-house battery production facility with the same output capacity.

This move is designed to ensure better battery quality and safety, while also speeding up the adoption of electric vehicles in India. According to the company, producing batteries internally allows for better control over performance and reliability, helping gain consumer trust.

Launch Awaits Approval

Jindal Mobilitric has also introduced a new electric two-wheeler model that can run up to 165 km on a single charge. However, the product is currently undergoing homologation, which is a necessary government approval process before commercial launch.

A company spokesperson shared that the launch will happen as soon as the necessary approvals are secured, and the electric scooters will then be distributed via the expanding dealer network.

Why Batteries Matter

The company believes that the key to building confidence in electric vehicles lies in battery safety. That’s why the in-house battery plant was a strategic decision. By managing every stage of battery production, Jindal Mobilitric aims to provide secure and high-performing batteries to its customers.

This initiative also positions the brand as a responsible and forward-thinking EV manufacturer committed to quality and innovation.
