Landeed, a property title search platform, has raised USD 5 million in a Series X funding round led by 10x Founders Fund. The round also saw participation from notable investors such as Oliver Jung, Paradigm Shift, Pioneer Fund, Jeffrey Epstein (Founder of Onboard), and Aaron King (Founder of Snapdocs).
This funding follows Landeed’s undisclosed strategic financing round in June 2022, led by Paradigm Shift VC, and its USD 8.3 million seed round in January 2023, backed by Y Combinator, Draper Associates, and Bayhouse Capital.
AI and Machine Learning Capabilities
The new funding will help Landeed improve its AI and machine learning (AI/ML) features, which are critical to its operations. Sanjay Mandava, Co-founder and CEO of Landeed, emphasised the importance of these technologies, stating, “AI and machine learning are not optional for us—they are the backbone of our products. With this funding, we will hire top STEM and technical talent to drive our growth.”
Mandava also highlighted the company’s strong financial position, mentioning that most of the funds from their seed round remain untouched. “You’ll see us relentlessly launching new products and aiming to be the best in our field,” he added.
Streamlining Property Title Searches
Founded in 2022 by Sanjay Mandava, ZJ Lin, and Jonathan Richards, Landeed simplifies property title searches by integrating multiple processes into a single platform. The platform provides access to crucial documents like Sale Deeds and Encumbrance Certificates, ensuring properties are free from legal or financial disputes.
Landeed’s mobile app has revolutionised title searches by delivering results 10 times faster than traditional methods. This innovation has made the platform a go-to solution for property owners, bankers, agents, and real estate developers.
Rapid Growth and User Base Expansion
Since its launch, Landeed has achieved remarkable growth, reporting a 22x increase in key financial metrics. The platform has attracted over 100,000 users and surpassed 5 million downloads. Its services cover 24 Indian states, making it a key player in the property search market.
Users rely on Landeed for various purposes, including buying and selling properties, facilitating loans, and managing real estate projects. By significantly reducing the time and effort required for title searches, Landeed is transforming India’s real estate sector.
Vision for Real Estate Ecosystem
Looking to the future, Landeed aims to create a fully digitised and transparent real estate ecosystem. By leveraging advanced AI and ML technologies, the company plans to enhance its platform further and make property searches even more efficient.
Robert Wuttke, Founding Partner at 10x Founders, expressed his confidence in Landeed’s leadership. “Sanjay is a strong founder who attracts top talent and is working on an idea with the potential to transform India’s real estate economy. We are proud to support him,” he said.
