E-commerce giant Flipkart has announced the creation of over 2.2 lakh seasonal jobs across different roles. These positions include supply chain, logistics, and last-mile delivery to support operations during the festive shopping season.
The company said this move will not only help strengthen its logistics network but also create large-scale employment opportunities across 28 states, particularly in smaller cities and towns.
New Delivery Hubs
As part of its festive preparations, Flipkart is also setting up 650 new delivery hubs across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. These hubs will allow faster and more efficient deliveries during the high-demand period.
According to Flipkart’s statement, the expansion is designed to improve customer experience while giving a boost to local employment. The company’s strategy is to enhance last-mile delivery reach, ensuring that festive orders are handled smoothly.
Ecosystem-First Approach
Flipkart highlighted that its festive hiring and infrastructure growth are part of an ecosystem-first strategy. This includes a mix of tech deployment, workforce expansion, and inclusive hiring across smaller regions in India.
By focusing on employment generation and logistics readiness, the company aims to meet the surge in demand during one of the most important shopping periods of the year.
Flipkart Ecommerce Jobs
Flipkart’s approach is not just about festive readiness but also about supporting India’s job market. Seasonal hiring has become an important step in the company’s annual cycle, helping thousands of people gain work experience in the e-commerce sector.
These jobs provide opportunities for individuals in Tier 2 and 3 cities, boosting local economies while strengthening Flipkart’s overall delivery ecosystem. The company’s focus on inclusive hiring ensures that employment reaches a wide group of workers during the festive season.
