Delhivery Direct: New App for Quick Intracity Deliveries

Share post:

Delhivery, a leading logistics company in India, has officially launched its on-demand intracity delivery service under the ‘Delhivery Direct’ new app. After a successful test run in Ahmedabad, the service is now available in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru, two of the country’s busiest metro areas for logistics and shipping.

Delhivery Direct is designed to provide quick, affordable, and dependable local delivery options. With pickups promised within 15 minutes of booking, the service caters to both small parcel deliveries via two-wheelers and larger shipments using three or four-wheelers.

Convenience for Everyone

This move helps Delhivery serve both individuals and businesses, including SMEs, who now have a complete delivery solution, from local to national shipping, all in one platform. Customers can also send parcels to over 18,800 pin codes across India using the same app.

According to Delhivery’s CEO and Managing Director Sahil Barua, the goal is to create a simple yet powerful logistics option. “Millions of users can now rely on us for local deliveries just as much as for intercity shipments,” he stated, emphasizing how the platform adds flexibility and reliability for everyone involved.

Support for Drivers and Riders

Delhivery Direct also benefits gig workers, riders and vehicle drivers, by offering steady income opportunities and flexible schedules. Through Delhivery’s wide network, they can take advantage of more earning options while meeting the growing demand for fast local deliveries.

The new service launch comes shortly after a major development for the company, Delhivery’s acquisition of a majority stake in Ecom Express for Rs 1,400 crore. This deal, approved by the Competition Commission of India (CCI), gives Delhivery access to even greater infrastructure and market share.

Business Growth Strategy

In April, Delhivery announced this acquisition as a way to scale operations quickly and meet rising demand in both e-commerce and hyperlocal logistics. By combining Delhivery Direct with the Ecom Express network, the company aims to become a dominant player in India’s fast-growing logistics sector.

As India’s e-commerce and intracity needs grow, Delhivery’s latest offerings make it clear the company is focused on speed, simplicity, and service, giving both businesses and individuals a smarter way to ship locally and beyond.
