boAt and Google Collaborate to Launch New Challenge

The #boAtGeminiChallenge, a first-of-its-kind contest inviting young creators, students, and professionals to design AI-driven ads for boAt products, has been launched by Indian audio and wearables brand boAt in collaboration with Google.

In a week-long campaign, running from October 6 to 12, 2025, aims to celebrate India’s growing creator economy by giving participants a chance to explore Google’s Gemini AI tools and turn their ideas into real ad concepts for one of India’s most popular consumer brands.

Two-Phase Contest

The challenge unfolds in two exciting stages. The first, called the Nano Banana Print Ad Challenge, invites participants to design creative print advertisements using Gemini 2.5 Flash (Nano Banana) — Google’s latest AI-based image editing and generation tool.

Participants can choose from multiple boAt product themes such as noise-cancelling headphones, deep-bass speakers, fitness-focused smartwatches, and immersive soundbars, showcasing how these products fit into modern lifestyles. The goal is to merge imagination with AI-powered design, resulting in eye-catching visuals that connect emotionally with audiences.

Veo 3 Video Ad Round

The second phase of the campaign, titled the Veo 3 Video Ad Challenge, pushes creativity even further. Here, participants will use Google’s Veo 3 model — a cutting-edge AI video generator within the Gemini app — to produce short, engaging videos.

These ads are expected to portray boAt products as a natural part of everyday Indian life, whether it’s music on the go, fitness tracking at the gym, or immersive sound experiences at home. The brand hopes to spark a wave of AI-driven storytelling that feels authentic, relatable, and fresh.

Driving Digital Expression

According to boAt, the #boAtGeminiChallenge represents a major step toward democratizing creativity in India. A company spokesperson said the campaign’s core aim is to “unlock the creative potential of every Indian” by encouraging the next generation to use AI as a tool for storytelling, not a replacement for human imagination.

The contest underscores how emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, video generation, and digital design are reshaping advertising. By empowering creators to experiment with Google’s Gemini suite, boAt wants to build a bridge between tech innovation and cultural expression.

Rewards and Recognition

The competition carries total prizes worth Rs 10 lakh, split equally between both phases. Winners will also take home exclusive boAt products and Google Gemini subscriptions. Phase 1 winners will be revealed on October 15, 2025, while results for the second phase will be announced later.

The initiative also emphasizes accessibility. With Gemini tools available to anyone with an internet connection, even first-time creators can participate and learn how AI can amplify their creative reach.

As boAt deepens its brand engagement through digital-first campaigns, it continues to compete with both Indian and global consumer electronics brands such as Noise, Boult Audio, Fire-Boltt, and realme TechLife. While competition remains fierce, boAt’s strategic collaborations — like this one with Google — demonstrate its focus on innovation, creator empowerment, and community engagement.
