Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited, India’s largest retail health insurance company, has launched a 50-day insurance awareness drive across Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana. This initiative aims to educate over 2.5 lakh people about the importance and benefits of health insurance.

Commitment to Quality Healthcare

Anand Roy, MD & CEO of Star Health Insurance, emphasized the company’s dedication to increasing insurance through awareness drive. “As the leader in standalone health insurance in India, we are committed to ensuring everyone has access to healthcare. In line with IRDAI’s vision of ‘Insurance for all by 2047,’ we focus on building awareness, availability, and accessibility. We are mindful of the low insurance penetration rate in India, especially in rural areas, and are taking initiatives to make health insurance accessible across Bharat,” said Roy.

Awareness Drive Activities

The awareness drive kicks off ahead of National Insurance Awareness Day. The company has planned several activities, including educational workshops, seminars, community outreach programs, and personalized insurance consultations. In collaboration with local financial advisors, these activities aim to educate individuals about health insurance.

To ensure the message reaches even the most remote areas, Star Health Insurance has launched mobile vans that will tour interior regions of Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana. These vans will provide information about the importance and benefits of health insurance, and distribute informational leaflets to communities.

Extensive Outreach

The initiative will cover over 470 villages and towns across 51 districts in Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana. Star Health Insurance aims to reach over 2,50,000 individuals across these three states. This drive is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to highlight the importance of health insurance. In FY24, Star Health conducted roadshows in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Odisha, reaching over 4,20,000 individuals in 134 districts and 980 villages.
