New Delhi: Startup Mahakumbh 2025, the world’s largest event for startups, is set to take place from April 3 to April 5, 2025, in New Delhi. This second edition will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and other key players to promote innovation and growth in India’s startup ecosystem. The event aims to empower startups as drivers of innovation and self-reliance, aligning with India’s vision for economic development under Amrit Kaal 2047.
Platform for Global Collaboration
This year’s Startup Mahakumbh will feature over 3,000 startups and more than 500 investors from 50+ countries. The event is expected to create opportunities for global partnerships and market expansion. It is being organised by FICCI, Assocham, IVCA, and Bootstrap Advisory and Foundation, with support from government organisations such as SIDBI, GEM, ECGC, and DPIIT Startup India.
During the curtain-raiser event in New Delhi, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, stressed the importance of such initiatives in establishing India as the world’s largest and most dynamic startup ecosystem. DPIIT Secretary Amardeep Singh Bhatia highlighted how the event would help build a vibrant and sustainable startup ecosystem. Joint Secretary Sanjiv noted that the event would inspire innovation and collaboration among stakeholders.
Focus on Emerging Sectors
Startup Mahakumbh 2025 will showcase emerging sectors like Defense and Space Tech, Cybersecurity, B2B, and Precision Manufacturing. Special pavilions will highlight these industries, offering startups the chance to connect with investors and mentors. The event will also feature pitching sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities.
Regional inclusivity is a key focus, with startups from all 788 districts of India being represented. The organising committee includes prominent figures like Prashanth Prakash (Accel), Sanjeev Bikhchandani (Info Edge), Archana Jahagirdar (Rukam Capital), and Sanjay Nayar (Assocham).
