Saregama Reports Strong Q2 FY26 Performance as Revenue Grows 11% QoQ

Saregama, part of the RPSG Group, has announced its financial results for the quarter and half year ending 30 September 2025. The company has reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs. 2,300 million during the second quarter of FY26. Its adjusted EBITDA for the same period has been recorded at Rs. 847 million, reflecting stable profitability in the current industry environment.

Profit before tax during Q2 FY26 reached Rs. 601 million, while profit after tax stood at Rs. 438 million. The company’s Board has also declared an interim dividend of Rs. 4.50 per share, equal to 450% on the face value of Re. 1. Saregama stated that its financial progress aligns with its strategic plans for content growth and market expansion.

Business Revenue Growth

Saregama has increased its music library with releases across multiple Indian languages. Some of the notable releases include the Tamil film album “Idli Kadai” featuring Dhanush, the Bengali album “Dhumketu,” and Malayalam film music for “Sahasam.” Non-film tracks such as Badshah’s “Kokaina” and Honey Singh’s “Mashooqa” have also contributed to catalog additions.

The company noted that more than 1,500 film and non-film tracks were released during the quarter in languages including Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Bhojpuri, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, and Bengali. The expansion aims to strengthen the company’s library depth and licensing potential, particularly in digital streaming markets.

Digital Reach Strengthens

Saregama reported a growing digital footprint supported by social media and distribution partnerships. The company’s controlled channels have reached a combined audience of over 400 million followers and subscribers on platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. Music usage and licensing for web and OTT content have continued to elevate brand presence.

Saregama collaborated with major consumer brands such as Myntra, Hero, Flipkart, Titan, L’Oréal, Britannia, and NPCI for integrated promotional campaigns. Its songs have featured in digital shows including “Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle” on Amazon and “Dining with the Kapoors” on Netflix, reflecting diversified content exposure.

Live Entertainment Growth

The company said its live events and experiential entertainment business continues to scale. Key engagements this quarter include Diljit Dosanjh’s “Aura Tour” and a Dubai edition of the musical show “Disco Dancer.” These activities underline Saregama’s focus on premium experience-led formats.

Saregama also added 18 new artistes to its management roster, including digital creators such as Amit Bhadana and Pranita Shubhash. It now manages more than 230 artistes whose collective digital reach reportedly exceeds 200 million followers.

The company remains one of India’s oldest and largest music rights owners, with a growing focus on monetising legacy catalogues alongside newer releases. It continues to invest in new IPs, digital channels and talent partnerships. Industry analysts view content ownership as a long-term growth driver for firms such as Saregama, amid increased music consumption in India’s streaming ecosystem.

Vice Chairperson Avarna Jain said that the first half of FY26 delivered steady progress in line with broader industry trends. She added that the outlook for the second half of the financial year remains positive due to new collaborations and upcoming projects. The company expects its investment strategy and diversified business segments to contribute to sustained growth.
