Allu Arjun’s blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule is on a record-breaking spree, heading toward Rs 600 crore in Indian box office collections. The movie has already earned Rs 529.45 crore by its first Sunday, establishing itself as one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema.
Four-Day Box Office Figures
The film opened strongly, making Rs 10.65 crore in Telugu preview shows alone. On its first day, Pushpa 2 earned Rs 164.25 crore, followed by Rs 93.8 crore on day 2, Rs 119.25 crore on day 3, and Rs 141.5 crore on day 4.
The Hindi version of the film has been a major contributor, raking in Rs 258.7 crore so far. The Telugu version earned Rs 198.55 crore, while the Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions added Rs 31.1 crore, Rs 3.55 crore, and Rs 10.55 crore, respectively, according to Sacnilk.
First Hindi Film to Achieve Record
Pushpa 2 has set a unique record as the first Hindi film to cross Rs 80 crore in net box office collections in a single day. The Hindi version alone earned Rs 85 crore on its first Sunday, adding to the film’s incredible success.
While celebrating the film’s success, Allu Arjun expressed his shock over a tragic stampede incident at Sandhya Theatre on Saturday.
The superstar shared, “The incident at Sandhya Theatre is very unfortunate. I visited the theatre but had to leave midway due to the crowd. I learned about the incident the next morning and was shocked.”
The actor recalled feeling blank when informed about the incident and mentioned that the film’s director, Sukumar, was also deeply saddened by the news.
In a gesture of compassion, Allu Arjun has arranged Rs 25 lakh for the victim’s family. He promised to meet them personally after giving them time to grieve. The star’s actions reflect his commitment to supporting those affected during the film’s release.
