Blinkit Introduces Feature to Delete Order History

Share post:

Blinkit, the quick commerce platform owned by Zomato, has launched a new feature that allows users to delete their order history. This update was announced by Blinkit’s Co-founder and CEO, Albinder Dhindsa, in a X post, where he highlighted the feature’s immediate popularity among users.

Albinder Dhindsa shared that the new feature has been well-received since its launch. “You can now delete orders from your Blinkit order history! We rolled out this feature last week, and 1,04,924 orders have already been deleted since then. New year, new order history,” Dhindsa said in his post.

New Feature Adds to Blinkit’s Innovations

The introduction of the order history delete option is part of Blinkit’s broader strategy to enhance user experience. Throughout the year, the platform has launched several innovative features and services. These include:

  • Bistro App: A quick food delivery service.
  • Large-Order Fleets: Designed to handle bulk orders efficiently.
  • Blinkit Seller Hub: A platform for sellers to list their products directly on Blinkit.
  • Clothing and Footwear Returns: Offering customers more flexibility in returning items.
  • Quick Passport Photo Delivery: A unique service providing fast delivery of passport-sized photos.

Operations Across India

Blinkit has also expanded its reach to new locations, including Jammu, as part of Zomato’s focus on Tier II cities. This expansion aligns with the company’s goal of making quick commerce accessible to more customers across India.

Blinkit’s growth is reflected in its financial achievements. In Q2 FY25, the platform reported revenue of Rs 1,156 crore, more than double the Rs 505 crore recorded during the same period last year. Additionally, Blinkit significantly reduced its adjusted EBITDA loss to Rs 8 crore, compared to a loss of Rs 125 crore in Q2 FY24.

User Experience

The order history delete feature is a testament to Blinkit’s commitment to improving customer experience. By offering more control over their accounts, Blinkit ensures that users have a seamless and personalized shopping experience.

Blinkit’s new feature to delete order history is just one of many steps the platform is taking to stay ahead in the competitive quick commerce market. With continuous innovation, expansion into new regions, and impressive financial growth, Blinkit is poised to strengthen its position as a leading quick commerce platform in India.
