Early-stage venture capital firm 247VC has appointed Kruti Raiyani as Principal, Investments, as part of efforts to strengthen its leadership team ahead of capital deployment from its first India-focused fund.
The appointment comes at a time when 247VC is preparing to begin investments under India Fund–I, marking an important phase in the firm’s expansion in the domestic venture capital ecosystem.
Raiyani will be involved in investment evaluation, portfolio development and supporting founders across the early stages, according to people familiar with the firm’s plans.
Raiyani brings over eight years of experience in early-stage investing. She has previously worked with She Capital and Lead Angels, where she was involved in sourcing, evaluating and supporting early-stage startups.
Over the course of her career, she has worked closely with more than 50 startups, covering areas such as deal assessment, portfolio growth and fund operations. Her experience spans multiple stages of early venture investing.
Before moving into venture capital, Raiyani began her professional career in financial services, with roles at KPMG and the Royal Bank of Scotland, where she gained exposure to financial analysis and advisory work.
Fundraising Plans
247VC is currently raising India Fund–I with a target corpus of Rs 250 crore, including a greenshoe option of Rs 50 crore. The firm expects to reach its first close in the quarter ending March 2026.

Capital deployment is expected to begin soon after the first close, with the fund focusing on backing companies at the seed stage. The firm positions itself as an early institutional investor, often providing the first institutional cheque to founders.
In addition to initial investments, 247VC plans to reserve capital for follow-on funding rounds, allowing it to continue supporting portfolio companies as they scale.
The fund is described as sector-agnostic but will largely focus on technology-led themes. These include Industry 5.0 and advanced manufacturing, deep technology, enterprise technology with an emphasis on artificial intelligence, and consumer technology.
Specific sub-themes within these areas have been identified through internal research, with the aim of aligning investments with long-term structural trends rather than short-term market cycles.
247VC is registered as a Sebi Category II Alternative Investment Fund, placing it within the regulated domestic venture capital framework.
The appointment reflects a broader trend among emerging venture funds in India to build experienced investment teams before active capital deployment. Early-stage funds are increasingly emphasising hands-on portfolio support alongside capital.
India’s startup ecosystem continues to attract new funds focused on seed and early-stage investing, driven by a steady pipeline of founders building technology-led businesses across sectors.
With the addition of Raiyani to its investment team, 247VC is positioning itself to play an active role in backing early-stage startups as it prepares to begin deploying capital from its inaugural fund.
