Dubai’s Focus on Human Capital
Hisham Al Gurg, CEO of Seed Group and The Private Office of Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum, emphasized the importance of this initiative. He stated that as Dubai continues to invest in human capital development, the need for job-relevant upskilling is growing. He said that upGrad’s focus on outcome-based programs, especially in areas like Generative AI, will help close skill gaps and empower both private and public sector organizations. He also praised upGrad’s expertise in professional learning, calling the company a valuable addition to Seed Group’s network of strategic partners.
Myleeta AgaWilliams, CEO of upGrad’s international consumer business, shared the company’s vision for global growth. She noted that upGrad is making major investments to expand into global markets and that the new partnership with Seed Group marks an important step in that direction. According to her, AI-led upskilling has become a global priority, with businesses and governments actively seeking solutions to train their workforce in emerging technologies.
Future-Focus Learning
AgaWilliams added that upGrad’s teaching model is globally oriented and focused on outcomes, helping learners build practical skills and enabling companies to increase productivity. She believes that as countries like the UAE focus on innovation and economic diversification, the time is right to expand upGrad’s offerings internationally.
Together, upGrad and Seed Group will deliver AI and data-driven programs to corporate clients and government bodies in the Gulf region. Their goal is to build a future-ready workforce that is digitally equipped to take on the challenges and opportunities of a tech-forward economy.
