Sahil Shah Appointed as CIO of Equirus Long Horizon Fund

Equirus Capital has named Sahil Shah as the new Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Fund Manager of the Equirus Long Horizon Fund (ELHF). With over 17 years of experience in the financial industry, Shah brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record to his new role. His previous experience includes a significant tenure at Edelweiss, where he managed the Small Cap Fund and co-managed the Midcap and Multicap funds.

Sahil Shah’s Background

Before joining Equirus, Sahil Shah managed assets worth Rs 3,300 crore at Edelweiss Small Cap Fund. He also played a key role in overseeing the Midcap and Multicap funds. Shah is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the ICFAI and has experience on both the sell-side as an analyst and the buy-side managing mutual funds and portfolio management services (PMS). This diverse background equips him with a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics.

Role at Equirus

As the new CIO, Shah will oversee Equirus’s asset management business and lead the ELHF. He will also provide strategic leadership to other equity funds, focusing on investment, research, and management. Shah will collaborate closely with other fund managers to enhance fund performance and drive the overall success of Equirus’s investment offerings.
